Despite the show having great success, a growing viewership (2.92 Milion in 2010 vs. 0.90 in 2007, src Wikipedia) and still being a golden globe contender (see link), I am worried about the future of Mad Men.
As a show built on the culture of ad agencies in the 60’s, they are running out of time. With the decade more than half over (season 4 ends in October 1965), I am certain Mad Men can’t live much past the 60’s.
This is my nervous take on it at least. I just don’t think I can take losing another excellent ad show :(
I have been talking and talking about doing something on my website forever now…. And I was making progress… I really was.
Then… The unforgettable happened. I lost my files.
So. I have been putting off starting from scratch.
I just need to find the motivation, and I am pretty sure I will after the holidays. Things got really busy around here with the trade show (which went great, by the way) and now the holidays mean more traveling to see family.
I’m going to post some more today, so catch you later!
A little bit o’ snow here this morning.
Been working like crazy getting trade show stuff ready to go. Promo material out the wazoo.
As such, I have completely neglected the Tumblr Calendr. Oh well. Catch you when I feel like it!
So I am busy getting ready for a big trade show in Louisville with my job so that means a lot of graphic work and preparation is taking up my time.
This show should be big for a small (but growing) Ecommerce company like us and we are putting a lot of effort into it. It will be one of my fruits (explained below).
Somebody said to me the other day that “you judge a persons value in business like you would a fruit tree. If the tree doesn’t have fruit to show, that isn’t a very good tree.” This made me think a lot about what that means to me. Do I have fruit to show?
Well… I think I’m working on it ;P. Do you have things that you would consider your fruit?
I’m caving in and creating a schedule to tumbl:
Been a while tumblr ;)
Been uber busy so, sadly, I have neglected you.
The website is still in progress, with me finally settling and basing it on a CSS framework. Should make things easy enough for me to get it done - Just need to work up some prototypes and settle on a final configuration. Its exciting, setting it up the exact way I want. Will be learning some stuff along the way as well and that is equally as exciting.
Going to be posting here more often, probably with some sort of schedule. Something like ‘Nerd-out! Wednesdays’ and ‘Marketing Mondays’ to keep things interesting.
Speeking of ‘nerd-out!’ Check out my new twitter lists. Since the new twitter showed up, I have had renewed interest in listing my tweeps. Sorta proud of my lists :P

Well, this has been my too long for twitter update, #tlftupdate, catch ya later!
There is something about fall days that really affects me.
The brisk air and falling leaves change my mindset and gets me motivated. I get up earlier, have more energy and I just want to get more done.

Something I feel that really needs to be done is a realignment of how I am reflected online & on my social media sites. More of who I am needs to get through online so that I can build relationships. Up until now, I have done as many others have done and posted, shared, retweeted to gain a following. It works, but it doesn’t go any further. It is time to take the next step and for me to break out of that shell.
So… Time to rebrand myself. I am Jordan Martindale, otherwise known as JustDotDotDot.
A full rework of my website is underway and I am going to be moving away from the idea of having a main blog site and instead have a nice & simple page built by me alone with a blog and other social media on the side.
As the leaves change colour and the trees adapt to the season, so will I.
